Kayla is an educator, behavior health counselor, personal trainer, writer, and an all-around enthusiastic and fascinating person. Professionally, Kayla is pushing back against the culture of victimhood in the psychotherapy space; focusing instead on an intention towards empowerment through personal responsibility and physical health. Curious, well-read, with a multitude of intersecting interests, Kayla is someone who physically embodies her beliefs.
In this episode, we talk about how she overcame a debilitating eating disorder and how that helps her relate to her clients and patients, the intersection of physical and mental health, and, of course, the books and ideas that have captured her along her journey.
