Hey Joe I really enjoyed this read and I agree with you entirely, but I was left with a sentiment of "so what?". I feel sometimes like on the other side of the Tiktok aggravatar clowns there is a lot of armchair cynicism. I'm not talking about you, but even I fall into this trap every so often until I remind myself to get back to writing, lifting, etc.
So... What's your advice? Where to from this point of accepting how things have devolved over the past couple of decades?

These shifts happen in part because we LET THEM happen. Understanding the dynamic is the first step towards distancing oneself from it. If you have anyone in your life with MCS, the best thing you can do is try and hold them accountable.
Outside of that, cultivate humility and self-respect as an individual and encourage others around you to do the same, which it sounds like you're doing. It's boring sure, but cultural momentum begins at the level of the individual.
